The Melbourne Stars have named an unchanged squad of 13 players for Friday night’s clash with the Sydney Sixers.
Taking to the Junction Oval for the second time this week, the Stars will be looking to bounce back from Monday night’s loss to the Perth Scorchers.
For the third consecutive game, Meg Lanning concluded that evening as the BKT Golden Bat leader, with a league-high 144 runs.
Friday night’s match will be Maisy Gibson’s 100th WBBL appearance, with the leg spinner taking 84 wickets at an average of 21.11 in her career to date.
Gibson is in her third season with the Stars, following stints with the Sydney Thunder and Hobart Hurricanes.
The battle with the Sixers, which gets underway at 7:10pm (AEDT), will be the Stars’ fourth match of the season, providing an opportunity for them to secure a second WBBL|12 victory.
