The Melbourne Stars will fly an unchanged squad of 13 players to Adelaide for their second game of WBBL|12.
Following Thursday night’s season opening victory, the Stars move straight into their next match, facing the Strikers at Karen Rolton Oval from 3:40pm (AEDT) on Saturday afternoon.
The Stars will be carrying momentum into this fixture, following an impressive performance against last year’s champions, the Hurricanes, to start WBBL|12.
New captain Meg Lanning set the tone with 71 runs at the top, while Annabel Sutherland earned Player of the Match honours for making 57 with the bat and taking three wickets with the ball.
Also starring at the Junction Oval was debutant, and international recruit, Charlie Dean, who restricted the Hurricanes to just 1/13 off her four overs.
The Stars will be familiar with Karen Rolton Oval come Saturday, having defeated the Perth Scorchers at the venue last season, led by Lanning’s unbeaten 90-run display.
