The Melbourne Stars BBL team is set to return to the Junction Oval for the first time since 2022, with a home game at the venue on Monday, December 21.
But in a historic twist, this match will be the first BBL game under lights at the venue.
Cricket Victoria has spent the off-season working on a project to build light towers at their home base, which will allow WBBL and BBL matches to be played in St Kilda.
The Stars clash with the Brisbane Heat, which gets underway at 7:15pm, will be their only match at the Junction Oval for the season.
With the game scheduled at the beginning of the holiday period – just four days before Christmas – and there being limited capacity at the venue, there is expected to be high demand for tickets.
Stars fans can secure their spot now, with tickets officially on sale to the general public.
