The Melbourne Stars have re-signed experienced trio Hilton Cartwright, Sam Harper and Peter Siddle for BBL|16.
Cartwright and Harper have both agreed to two-year extensions with the Stars, while Siddle will have at least one more season in green.
Harper’s contract comes after a career-best season, where he won the BBL Player of the Tournament award.
Alongside Harper, Siddle made the BBL Team of the Tournament, recognising the 41-year-old’s outstanding campaign with the ball.
Siddle played all 11 matches for the Stars in BBL|15, taking 16 wickets at an average of 17, while hitting speeds of up to 145.8km/h.
Cartwright has played 114 BBL matches and has been a reliable leader of the Stars since crossing over from Perth in 2019.
The BBL Player Movement Window will open on Wednesday, 28 January, with club’s allowed to have a maximum of 10 players committed to their list prior to this date.
