The Melbourne Stars will take an unchanged squad into the Melbourne Derby on Sunday evening, as they prepare for a clash with the Melbourne Renegades.
At the halfway point of the home and away season, the Stars have a 4-1 record and sit on top of the BBL table.
After four consecutive interstate games, the Stars will return home to the MCG, with a crowd of over 60,000 fans expected to attend.
For the first time, the Melbourne Mace – a new prize standing at 1.4 metres tall – will be up for grabs for the winner of the biggest rivalry in the BBL.
Jackson Warne will have the honour of presenting the Mace to a player from the winning team, running it onto the field immediately after the final ball is bowled.
Adding to the spectacle, global electronic music icons Rudimental will be performing during the innings break, as well as a 20-minute post-game show.
The match will get underway at the family-friendly timeslot of 6:05pm, with free public transport on offer for all spectators.
