Siddle signs for BBL|15

The Melbourne Stars are pleased to announce that veteran Victorian fast bowler Peter Siddle has re-signed for KFC BBL|15.

Siddle has played 91 games in the BBL since making his debut and has been a standout for the Stars in his first full year with the club.

The 40-year-old has taken 11 wickets in 8 games with the Stars in BBL|14 and is the leading wicket taker for the club so far.

“It’s great to sign on for another year with the Stars," Siddle said.

"I’ve really enjoyed my time in BBL|14 and whatever the result today, I feel like there’s a really strong platform to build on for sustained success and I can’t wait to play a few more games at the MCG next season.”

Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch said Siddle had exceeded all expectations this year.

"Peter is a credit to himself and is a great example to all players in the way that he prepares himself for each and every game.

"He's not only a great performer on the field but off the field he has been a wonderful support to both the coaching staff and leadership group as well a great mentor for our younger bowlers."
