Stars Abroad: 5th February

Plenty of BBL and WBBL Stars have been back in action over the past week, including a top 3 finish for Annabel Sutherland in the Belinda Clark Medal.

Annabel Sutherland finished 3rd in the count, whilst Golden Arm winner, Sophie Day's amazing summer continued, winning the Dometic Cricketer of the Year.

Day had been in action earlier with Victoria, adding another 4 wickets in the win against South Australia. Tess Flintoff starred with the bat, scoring 55*, whilst it was another pair of Stars guiding Victoria to victory two days earlier in Meg Lanning (82*) and Sophie Reid (63*).

The win leaves Victoria in 3rd position with their finals chances very much alive.

Kim Garth and Annabel Sutherland have been in action for Australia, with Garth taking 2-18 and Sutherland again in the wickets in the multi-format series against South Africa.

Fresh off a new 3-year deal at the Stars, Marcus Stoinis made 38 with the bat and took a wicket in the South African T20 league,

Sheffield Shield cricket returned this week with Scott Boland taking 3 wickets in his return with the red ball in a Victorian side that also featured Sam Harper and Campbell Kellaway.

Mark Steketee and Joe Burns went head-to-head with Beau Webster with Webster winning the bragging rights but Steketee impressed with the ball taking 6 wickets for the match.

Stars Corey Rocchiccioli and Joel Paris combined for 7 wickets in the first innings of WA's Shield match against NSW.
