Melbourne Stars BBL|05 Work Experience Competition Terms and Conditions


"Melbourne Stars" means Melbourne Stars (ABN 48 152 852 278) of PO Box 327, EAST MELBOURNE, VIC 8002

1. Registration in the Melbourne Stars (The Promoter) BBL|05 Work Experience competition will be deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions

2. Eligible junior participants have access to enter the competition to win a Work Experience placement with the Melbourne Stars

3. In order to be eligible for the BBL|05 Work Experience competition offer, the applicant must meet the following criteria;

a. Received the flyer directly from a Melbourne Stars representative at either their School Cricket Carnival or their Club Regional Cricket Carnival, or;

b. At a Victoria Indoor Cricket Centre


c. Must be aged between 11 and 13 years of age as of 1/12/15, and;

d. Must have parental consent before registering

4. Employees of the Melbourne Stars and agencies associated with this competition, and their respective immediate families, are ineligible to enter

5. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age, school and place of residence) and disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process

6. A total of four (4) work experience placements will be offered

7. The total value of each placement is $500, with a total prize pool of $2,000.

8. The BBL|05 Work Experience competition registration period will start at 9am on 17/11/2015 and finish at 5pm on Wednesday 16/12/2015

9. Melbourne Stars will select four (4) eligible entries from eligible participants whom they deem as having best met the criteria for selection. Melbourne Stars’ decision is final and absolute

10. Winning entries will be determined on 23/12/2015 and winners notified by phone

11. To enter, you must, during the registration period, visit and complete, in entirety, the online registration form and answer in 25 words or less “what you want to be when you grow up”.

12. Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid

13. Eligible individuals can only enter the competition once

14. Melbourne Stars reserves the right to refuse a registration if they believe that the applicant has registered false or misleading details

15. Melbourne Stars takes no responsibility for incomplete or inaccurate registrations or registrations that have not been received by Melbourne Stars

16. Winners will be selected by Melbourne Stars at 80 Jolimont Street, East Melbourne VIC 3002

17. Parents/Guardians of the winners will be notified by email and/or contacted by phone by a Melbourne Stars representative. Melbourne Stars will take reasonable steps to communicate with winners. If a winner is not contactable, the prize will be forfeited and Melbourne Stars reserves the right to redraw the prize

18. Dates for the work experience placement will be at the discretion of the Melbourne Stars. If the winner cannot participate on the selected dates, Melbourne Stars will endeavour to arrange an alternate date. If an alternate date cannot be agreed upon, the prize will be deemed invalid and the prize forfeited

19. Winners must have parental consent at the time of accepting the prize

20. Please be aware that your personal information will be collected and held in accordance with the Melbourne Stars’ Privacy Policy. By providing your information, you agree to such use by the Melbourne Stars. If you would like a copy of the policy, this can be viewed at or it can be sent to you upon request. By entering your details, you consent into the Melbourne Stars Privacy Policy.

21. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
