The 26-year-old recovered from his injury and made his debut for the Stars against the Perth Scorchers as captain at the MCG on January 8 2019.
Maddinson holds an impressive BBL resume compiling 1458 runs at a strike rate of 129.95 and an average of 23.52.
Having played 66 BBL matches across his time he brings a great amount of experience to the Stars line up.
