Stars named in squad for ICC Women’s World Cup

Melbourne Stars Captain Meg Lanning and youngster Annabel Sutherland have both been selected in the squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup in New Zealand.

Lanning will again captain Australia, who will play 7 games in the group stage in an attempt to qualify for the semi-finals. It will be her third ICC Women’s World Cup, having first played in the 2013 tournament.

Sutherland will make her ICC Women’s World Cup debut if selected during the tournament, after making her ODI debut in October 2020 against India.
