Stars name squad to face Scorchers

02 February 2019

The Melbourne Stars has made one change to its squad of 13 to face the Perth Scorchers tomorrow at Optus Stadium in Perth.

Fast bowler Jackson Coleman comes back into the side and could play his first game since the Stars' third fixture of the season against the Sixers at the SCG on December 27.

The W/BBL technical committee has approved Coleman's inclusion in the squad in place of Tom O'Connell, who played four matches for the Stars throughout January.

Marcus Stoinis has also been named after the in-form all-rounder was not selected in the Australian XI for the Second Test against Sri Lanka in Canberra.

The Stars will be looking to continue their push towards a finals berth with a fourth straight win after defeating the Renegades, Strikers and Heat in their last three matches.
