Rauf returns to Stars for Heat clash

07 January 2021

Pakistan pace sensation Haris Rauf has been named as part of a 17-man Melbourne Stars squad for tonight's KFC BBL|10 clash against Brisbane Heat at Metricon Stadium.

Rauf arrived on the Gold Coast last night from a bio-secure hub in New Zealand, where he had been representing Pakistan in their recent T20 series against the Black Caps.
If selected to play, Rauf will replace Zahir Khan as the third overseas player in the squad.

Last season, Rauf emerged as a global star after he was plucked out of Tasmanian Premier Cricket to replace an injured Dale Steyn.

Since then he has gone on to represent Pakistan in 11 T20Is and two ODIs.

The Stars currently sit fifth on the ladder, three points clear of the Heat.

A win could see the Stars move to as high as equal 2nd on the ladder.
