13 April 2018

Melbourne Stars will play a full home and away season in BBL|08 with Cricket Australia announcing the additional matches as part of their landmark broadcast partnership with FOX SPORTS and Seven today.

The KFC Big Bash League and Rebel Women’s Big Bash League will have a new home from this summer with Seven broadcasting 43 KFC Big Bash League matches while FOX SPORTS will broadcast 16 matches exclusively, and simulcast the remainder.

In more exciting news, the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) will see 23 matches each season broadcast on Seven and FOX SPORTS with the remaining WBBL matches live streamed on cricket.com.au and the CA Live App.

“This is an exciting time for cricket and we’re thrilled by the announcement today,” Melbourne Stars Chief Executive Officer Clint Cooper said.

“This partnership will provide Melbourne Stars fans with unparalleled coverage than ever before.

“Just as exciting is the commitment to WBBL which will see more live broadcast matches leading into our fourth season.

“We enjoyed working with Ten over the past five seasons and want to thank them for their role in bringing our matches to life.

“We look forward to working with Seven and FOX SPORTS to continue bringing our fans closer to the action this summer.”

The new six-year broadcast and digital partnership, which includes a dedicated FOX Cricket channel, will result in overall benefit to the sport worth $1.182b over six years.
