The Stars won by 8 wickets with 28 balls to spare in a dominant display on Saturday night at North Sydney Oval.
The Stars won the toss and sent the Scorchers in and made the most of the opportunity.
A great piece of fielding from Erin Osborne saw the dangerous Kiwi international Sophie Devine run out for just 11 and Nat Sciver then had Australian opener Beth Mooney caught and bowled for 19.
The Stars continued to keep things tight with the ball throughout the innings and wickets to Alana King (2), Nat Sciver (2), Erin Osborne (1) and Sophie Day (1) held the Scorchers to a total of just 118.
In reply, the Stars were determined to make short work of the total under lights.
After a quickfire 20 from Mignon du Preez, Meg Lanning and Player of the Match Nat Sciver took full control of the game.
The pair put on 68 runs to seal the game in comfortable style and move the Stars into second place on the WBBL table.
