STARS MEMBER INFO


Stars members can get all their key MCG Derby information on the membership match day info page here.

The Stars Membership Hub is located outside Gate 3 of the MCG and will be open for any membership questions or queries.

Plan your Journey


Fans should plan their journey and arrive early as well as minimise the number of bags, or bring clear bags, in order to reduce the wait time in gate queues. Express lanes for patrons without bags will also be in operation.

All patrons will have their bags checked and be subject to hand-held wanding before entry, as has been the case at all MCG events for the past two years.

Attendees are also advised to pre-purchase their tickets online to avoid delays at ticket windows on Saturday.

TRANSPORT


We strongly advise taking public transport to the match on Saturday. The MCG is accessible via a number of public transport options, with Richmond and Jolimont railway stations in close proximity, as well as several major tram and bus routes.

There will be a total of 24 additional train services to and from Jolimont / Richmond Station for BBL matches.

Yarra Trams has also scheduled 16 additional services running along Route 70 and 75 to cater for patrons that might drive locally around Richmond and CBD.

Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone will be extended to stops near the MCG. Tram services from the CBD to stops 9,10 and 11 on Wellington Parade near the MCG will be free, all day on Saturday 6 January 2018.

Frankston, Cranbourne and Pakenham line rail works

With rail works scheduled to commence on 2 January, seven bus routes will provide services to the MCG/inner city area.

PARKING


There will be a no public parking spaces in Yarra Park for this match.

A limited number of spaces will be available for disability permit holders.

We strongly advise fans not to drive all the way to the MCG, and to take public transport where possible.

Those who can’t avoid driving are urged to arrive early and park in the city or an area near to the ground; then walk or catch public transport to the stadium itself.

MCC has partnered with CBD car park operator Le Garage (114 Flinders Street) to offer fans $8 parking if they scan their event ticket at the pay station on event days.
