Holly Ferling to attend Melbourne Girls Leadership Program

21 November 2018

Melbourne Stars’ newest recruit, Holly Ferling, will be making an appearance at the fourth Year 7 & 8 Girls Leadership Forum in Melbourne next month, an initiative that aims to support and develop girls leadership skills.

The forum is an extension of the online program, developed by Mental Edge Consulting and provides girls with the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills alongside their peers, with a focus on building confidence, resilience as well as exploring their leadership style.

“I am thrilled to be involved in the Girls Leadership Program for the first time. It’s such a fantastic program Cricket Victoria have developed and is really important for young girls to understand and practice whilst still at school. I wish it was something I could have participated in when I was at school”

Holly will be joined by a number of representatives from a range of sporting codes including:

  • Former Australian netballer, Bianca Chatfield
  • Melbourne Renegades WBBL captain, Amy Satterthwaite
  • Former winter Olympian and leading expert on women’s health and fitness, Steph Prem
  • North Melbourne AFLW captain and former Melbourne Stars cricketer, Emma Kearney

The day also allows the girls to understand the importance of fitness in maintaining strength in leadership, and they will have the opportunity to participate in a Pilates session hosted by Studio PP, as well as Cricket Victoria’s female specific modified cricket program, Social Sixes.

Please Note: To be eligible to attend this forum, we require students to be registered and complete the interactive online program. More details can be found here.
