Intro
Australian pace sensation James 'Jimmy' Pattinson returns to the Melbourne Stars for BBL|02.
The young gun emerged as one of Australia's most potent seamers last summer - which unfortunately for the Stars - meant he was tied up with National duties and unable to play during the inaugural BBL season.
However to Jimmy’s credit, he made sure he was well and truly apart of the Stars camp despite not playing, attending matches and team events at every opportunity he could.
The 22-year-old made an outstanding start to his Test career with 25 wickets at an average of 18.12 in his first four matches wearing the baggy green - a record including best-bowling figures of 5-27.
Pattinson is pacey, aggressive and promising in every way and is poised to again lead the way for Australia over the summer in all forms of the game. The quick has already been touted as one of the key cogs that will power the Australian pace bowling attack in all forms of the game for years to come.
Australians should be thankful to claim James their own, since both his parents and older brother, Darren, were all born in the UK. When he’s not on the road, Jimmy relishes the opportunity to kick back with friends or head out on his boat fishing when he's not playing cricket.
