Intro
Young gun Alex Keath didn't break into the Melbourne Stars XI for a game this Big Bash League season, but loomed large in the squad travelling to all interstate matches as part of the extended lineup.
The talented all-rounder made the most of the League format learning from several of Australian cricket's most respected figures from around the country in Stars colours.
A Victorian country boy from Shepparton, Alex had a passion for all sports growing up, but chose his first love, cricket, over AFL after being drafted by the Gold Coast Suns. The son of an accountant and anaesthetist, Alex never viewed sport as his only career path and now juggles cricket with an Arts Degree in Melbourne.
Not one to rest, Alex works part-time at his alma mater, Melbourne Grammar School, coordinating activities for boarders. Keep your eyes peeled; this right-handed batsman has been touted as one to watch.
