Seb Gotch

Promising young batsman Seb Gotch will be looking to make his Stars debut in BBL|06.

We briefly saw a glimpse of Gotch in the match that secured a Stars a home final. As a substitute fielder, Gotch took a catch off Evan Gulbis’ bowling to dismiss the Perth Scorchers’ Andrew Tye.

The right-hander has also featured for Victoria in this season’s Futures League (under-23 competition). He scored 125 against Western Australia in October this season.

A promising junior AFL player with the Oakleigh Chargers, Gotch chose cricket over footy, representing Premier side Melbourne.

In 2013-14, he won the club’s Club Champion and Most Valuable Player award after smacking 588 runs, remarkable considering he missed the first six matches.

Last season, he played 14 matches for Melbourne, scoring 590 including his highest of 173 against Camberwell.
