Seb Gotch

Promising young batsman Seb Gotch made his debut for the Melbourne Stars this season in our game against the Brisbane Heat, also featuring in matches against the Sixers and the Scorchers in the team’s Semi-Final.

Making his way to the crease with the Stars sitting at 2-1, Gotch made a crucial 30 in his debut game. Gotch also showed his skill with the gloves in the same match, taking the position behind the stumps with Peter Handscomb called up to the international side.

With Gotch’s best game coming in the semi-final loss against the Perth Scorchers, he made 48 and almost notched a half-century in just his third game.

Playing for Melbourne in Premier Cricket and making 173 against Camberwell at the start of the season, Gotch was also earned a full contract for Victoria this season.
