Michael Beer

Michael Beer again proved to be an extremely instrumental cog in the Melbourne Stars' engine in BBL|06.

Playing every game this season, Beer finished with the Stars’ second best economy rate of 7.24. He took six wickets for the tournament and was regularly taking the new ball, rushing batsmen and tying up an end.

No stranger to the dot ball, Beer’s best performance in BBL|06 was the 2-12 from the four overs he bowled in the Stars’ win against the Perth Scorchers at the WACA. This performance also earned him the Player of the Match.

Beer spent the first three BBLs with the Scorchers but was traded to the Stars before BBL|04 and the dot ball officer has been invaluable since joining Team Green.
