Jessica Cameron

Jess Cameron was a big addition to the team in WBBL|02, adding depth to the batting line-up. Making the third most runs for the season with a total of 248, Cameron notched her highest score of 45* against the win against the Sydney Sixers.

Forming crucial partnerships in tight games, Cameron also hit the winning runs in spectacular fashion against the Hobart Hurricanes to keep the team in the race for finals right up until the last game of the season.

Having represented Australia on over 100 occasions, Cameron brought experience to the Stars’ line-up this season with 941 T20 international runs under her belt.

The right-hander claimed Victoria Premier Cricket’s highest accolade – the Una Paisley Medal – last season after scoring 578 runs in only seven matches for Prahran.

Along with some impressive batting skills, Cameron played a key role for Melbourne’s Women’s AFL team, participating in both 2016 exhibition matches. She was subsequently drafted to Collingwood.
