Heading into the WBBL as the Stars’ number one wicket-keeper, Emma Inglis had a good tournament with bat and with gloves.
She took five catches and executed 11 stumpings with her lightning glove-work, placing her third on the WBBL’s dismissals list.
Batting in the middle order, Inglis scored 179 runs which included three scores of 30 or more including her best, an unbeaten 42 against the Scorchers.
Inglis’ reputation for the surest gloves in the state and ability with the bat earned her a call up to the national T20 squad in 2014. She knows that consistent performances will be the key to further opportunities for Australia.
This season, Inglis has been pushed up the batting order and now opens with captain Meg Lanning.
Away from the field, Inglis studies nutrition and works at Premier Club Melbourne University.
